Gasification
The IQ Gasification Unit converts dried wastes into a valuable heat output in a controlled environment with a limited supply of oxygen. The heat can be used to self-sustain the IQ Indirect Dryer for wet sludges or to produce high temperature heat, hot water or steam for use in industrial or community heating needs.
Pyrolysis
Pyrolysis is a thermochemical decomposition process that occurs in the absence of oxygen, whereby organic materials, such as biomass or plastic waste, are subjected to high temperatures. The IQ Pyrolysis Unit converts dried wastes into a high quality renewable natural gas (RNG) which can be used for energy production or the gas can be condensed down to an oil for advanced recycling of dirty and mixed plastics.
Indirect Drying
The indirect dryer unit slowly dries out the dewatered waste input continuously moving it across serpentine belts with heat applied indirectly (the heat not contacting the product). This process significantly reduces the weight and volume of the waste input and dries it to a valuable product for agriculture, industry or as an input to the thermal treatment process.
